System Engineer Server Management

The position
Cambio is the creator of the largest electronic health record (EHR) in Sweden with our product Cosmic. It is in use in the vast majority of Swedens regions and comes in two different forms. Among other ways it's provided as a service (SaaS) to some of our customers. We are now looking for a System Engineer who wants to join our IT infrastructure and Operations team, being part of deploying and improving the infrastructure that is used by Cosmic. This is a critical component for many of the regions in Sweden and you'll be a part in supporting our healthcare customer’s important work.
As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for server management of the technical infrastructure that supports our products and services. As part of the Server Management function, you will work closely with other functions within IT Infrastructure and Operations, to ensure that all servers are well maintained in line with strategy and well-coordinated with activities such as the deployment of new services or upgrades. You will work with both Windows and Linux servers, with a primary focus on managing and maintaining our Windows systems.
You will also:
- Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, and other critical components.
- Work with automation using Ansible and scripting.
- Ensure that servers and applications run smoothly and are up to date.
- Perform version upgrades and security updates.
- Communicate with vendors and manage licenses for applications.
- Participate in strategic planning and operational work related to patching and maintenance."

About you
You are an experienced System Engineer with a strong technical foundation and an ability to take ownership of complex projects. You thrive on both hands-on work and strategic planning, leveraging your expertise to manage and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable systems. You are adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders, from developers to decision-makers, and you can clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Your background includes extensive experience in managing different platforms and operating systems. You have a proactive mindset, are highly organized, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Above all, you are driven to solve problems and deliver impactful results.
You take pride in working together with others to solve problems and improve existing solutions. You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. To work proactive and take the initiative to identify areas of improvement comes naturally to you, and along with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to effectively collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, you have what it takes to make it happen.
Requirements
- Several years’ experience working with server and application management.
- Advanced knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments.
- Proven ability to lead discussions and influence strategies with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
It's a bonus if you
- Have good understanding of certificate management, PKI, and related security standards.
- Experience in working with Swedish health care.
- Experience with monitoring tools and frameworks, e.g., Grafana or Dynatrace
Place of employment: Linköping or Stockholm
