Software Engineer within Clinical Decision Support

The position
Cambio Clinical Decision Support (CDS) is looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to help us transform the way clinical decisions are supported at the point of care. The CDS team builds intelligent software tools that integrate patient data, clinical guidelines, and analytics into real-time decision-making for healthcare professionals.
You will work across both backend and frontend development to build scalable, data-driven applications that impact thousands of clinicians and patients. Our infrastructure follows a modern DevOps approach with continuous integration and delivery.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality features across the full stack
- Build scalable backend services using Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Develop performant and accessible frontends using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Web Components
- Collaborate with requirement owners, developers, and clinical rule modelers to extend our platform
- Contribute to architectural and design decisions with a focus on quality, reliability, and user experience

Requirements
- Proven experience in software development (mid to senior level)
- Strong understanding of HTTP/REST and API design
- Experience developing services with Kotlin/Java/Spring Boot and Docker/Kubernetes
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and Web Components
- Professional working proficiency in English
It's a bonus if you
- Experience in healthcare or health technology
- Experience in user-centered design and accessibility
- Understanding of machine learning, NLP, or GenAI-based systems
- Experience with rules-based or business process support systems
- Experience deploying and monitoring cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in Linux/macOS development environments
Place of employment: Stockholm
Scope: Full-time, hybrid work model (three days per week in-office)
Form of employment: Permanent employment, 6 months trial period
