DevOps Engineer within eHealth
Join us to build and scale the cloud platform behind an AI assistant that transforms clinical workflows. Drive secure, reliable DevOps for tech that truly improves healthcare.
Cambio is one of the Nordics' leading suppliers in eHealth with a comprehensive offering for the entire health and care chain. Our eHealth solutions support health care professionals in their daily work and offer patients safer and more easily accessible care. We are proud to be an important part of Swedish healthcare. We are growing continuously and now have about 1000 employees in several countries.
The position
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be part of a highly skilled, ambitious tech team building an AI‑driven system that operates at the core of clinical workflows. Cambio Ambient Scribe is an ambient AI assistant that listens to and documents patient–clinician conversations in real time. By reducing administrative burden and saving up to two hours per day for healthcare professionals, the product helps clinicians focus on what truly matters: the patient.

In this role, you will take end‑to‑end ownership of our cloud and platform infrastructure, ensuring that the system is secure, reliable, and ready to scale as the product grows from thousands to tens of thousands of users. You will work closely with backend, AI, frontend, and product teams to enable fast, safe, and efficient delivery of an AI‑powered healthcare platform.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys combining infrastructure, automation, and problem‑solving, and who wants to play a central role in shaping a modern DevOps platform in a regulated and mission‑critical environment.
Some of the things you’ll do
Own, operate, and evolve our cloud infrastructure, primarily in Azure, with a roadmap toward Kubernetes / OpenShift.
Build and maintain Kubernetes platforms, including Helm, ingress, RBAC, scheduling, and networking.
Design and operate secure, automated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions).
Implement observability and monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK.
Apply DevSecOps principles across the stack, including identity, secrets management, network policies, and compliance.
Deploy, monitor, and scale PostgreSQL / Supabase environments, including backup, performance, and reliability.
Support and optimize GPU‑based AI inference workloads, collaborating closely with backend and AI engineers.
Act as a technical partner to the development teams, improving deployment, stability, and operational efficiency.
We offer
At Cambio, you don’t just work with infrastructure – you enable technology that directly improves healthcare.
You’ll get the opportunity to:
Work on a cutting‑edge AI product deeply integrated into COSMIC, Sweden’s most widely used electronic health record system.
Be part of a small, highly competent team with strong ownership, short decision paths, and a startup mindset within a stable company.
Influence the cloud and platform architecture of a product that is scaling rapidly and handling sensitive healthcare data.
Grow with the role – both technically and in responsibility – while solving problems that truly matter to society.
About you
We believe you are a Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer who is comfortable taking responsibility for complex, production‑critical systems. You combine a strong technical foundation with curiosity, pragmatism, and a drive to continuously improve how systems are built, deployed, and operated.
Rather than matching every single technology listed, what matters most is that you are confident designing and running secure, scalable cloud platforms and enjoy working closely with developers to enable efficient, reliable software delivery.
We see that you tick some of the following boxes:
Several years of experience (typically 5+) working with DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering in production environments.
Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure (but experience from AWS or GCP is also valuable).
Hands‑on experience with containers and Kubernetes, or a clear ambition to move deeper into Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Solid understanding of security principles across cloud, network, and application layers.
Experience with monitoring, observability, and operating systems in production.
Ability to take ownership, communicate technical decisions, and work closely with development teams.
Comfort using modern AI tools as part of your engineering workflow to improve efficiency and quality.
Experience with GPU workloads and real‑time AI inference in production.
Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems.
Experience working in regulated environments, such as healthcare or financial services.
Familiarity with FastAPI / Python applications and how application design impacts infrastructure and operations.
Place of employment: Umeå or Stockholm
Scope: Full-time, hybrid work model (three days per week in-office)
Form of employment: Permanent employment, 6 months trial period
Additional Information: The role involves access to sensitive information, therefore a background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
We review applications and conduct interviews on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible via the link.
We look forward to receiving your application!
